Steve has led financings and been an active business partner to management teams in numerous emerging and growth-stage companies in Western Canada and the US Northwest for over 20 years. He has had the good fortune to participate in a number of successful exits with great companies driven by talented management teams.
Prior to co-founding Lighthouse in 2012, Steve co-founded Vancouver-based Yaletown Venture Partners in 2001 and played a central role in building the firm, its investment portfolio, and capital under management to $165M during the firm’s formative decade. During the 1990’s Steve started and built TD Bank's technology industry group in Western Canada where he structured growth financings for more than 45 innovation-driven companies, following success in building a mid-market diversified industries portfolio for the bank. Steve has held operationally focused roles with global management consulting firm Accenture, where he designed and implemented enterprise management systems for major corporations in the energy industry, and with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he led business development strategy and execution for the Technology, Information & Communications group.
Steve has been actively engaged as a board member or chair of numerous emerging and growth stage business across his career and has consistently served both industry and community in leadership roles.
