Grant Kook is a member of the Lighthouse Equity Partners Advisory Board and is CEO of WestCap Management, Saskatchewan’s leading venture capital and private equity fund manager with over $500 million under management. WestCap is a private sector diversified fund manager serving the specialized investment needs of the province of Saskatchewan, and stakeholders focused on Saskatchewan innovation, through several mandates. WestCap also serves a diversified investor base worldwide including institutions, retail investors, governments, and high net worth individuals.
Grant has served as Chair of the Board of Directors for SaskTel since 2008, and Chair of Ramada Hotels since 1992. Sasktel is the leading full service communications provider in Saskatchewan with $1.2 billion in annual revenue and over 1.4 million customer connections; SaskTel International offers software solutions and project consulting in countries around the world from its base in Western Canada.
Grant was voted one of Saskatchewan's Men of Influence and is a recipient of the Commemorative Medal for the Centennial of Saskatchewan. Grant serves or is a past director on the boards of a number of private and publicly traded companies, the Hong Kong Canada Business Association, Agwest Biotech, and has twice been nominated for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Grant is a Vice President of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA), Chair of the CVCA Aboriginal Private Equity Committee, Chair of the Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, and a member of the Minister's Advisory Council on Information Technology.
